Helen Walters

Helen is a strong believer in developing teachers to be 21st C skills-future –focused, shifting the locus of control to the students enabling them to make decisions, problem solve, communicate and collaborate. She believes it is important to connect curriculum and provide multiple opportunities for teaching and problem based learning in meaningful contexts with the student as the researcher. Helen is an independent maths consultant with more than 27 years facilitation involving national teacher professional learning and development, consulting assignments in mathematics and literacy and pre teacher training and post service professional learning and development.
