Frances Steinberg

PhD, Psychologist

Background
Frances E. Steinberg, Ph.D., psychologist, received her doctorate from Johns Hopkins University in 1975. She was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of the Year award during her tenure as Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico. Frances has worked in a variety of settings including special schools for emotionally and learning disabled students, private practice, rape crisis centres, and paediatric clinics. She currently directs Solutions un-Limited and presents workshops on ADHD and working with difficult students both within New Zealand and internationally. Frances is the author of numerous professional articles and along with Rick Whiteside has written the books Whispers from the East, When Your Lover Leaves You, Working with Difficult Children and Adolescents, Working with Difficult Clients, and Creating Partnerships. Frances has also produced the AD/HD videotape Getting it Right and been featured on many New Zealand documentaries.
