This is the fourth book in a series of 6. They have been written for early childhood and junior classes but are suitable for teachers with limited Maori language to use in their classrooms. They are full of fun and easy to produce activities focusing on correct pronuncation.
Topics covered in this book are Te Mahi Kaute(Counting) He Kai(Food)and Nga Mea Kaingakautia(Things one Likes) building vocabulary from single word into simple sentences and conversations.
Jenny Pyatt has a background of 27 years in teaching students from years 1-8. She has a strong interest in helping those for whom english is a second language which stemmed from teaching experiences in east and south Auckland.
